A New Year Newsletter

January 10th, 2022

Written by Jenna D'Annunzio

For some of us this new year has brought us back to square one, for others it’s just another day and date that we must get used to writing. However, for most of us, it provides hope + motivation for change. Regardless of your experience, what does this new year mean to YOU? What does that change look like?

Amidst what appears to be another year of wacky uncertainty, we all are presented with the choice of who we want to be, what we want to do, acknowledge what did and didn’t work in 2021, and create 1-degree action items to get to work!

Are you ready to get to work? And I don’t just mean professionally, I mean personally too. I have the Motivation App (if you don’t have it, I strongly recommend it) and today’s motivational quote read…

"The mind is a tricky thing. If you tell it to believe something, it will, so tell it how great you are."

Well, my friends, I’m here to say the mind is not only tricky but it’s seriously powerful as well. Tell it every day about how great you are. If you do nothing this year but pay attention, on purpose, to the thoughts it’s energizing you’ll be one step ahead of the game. I mean actually stop and ask yourself – is this thought useful?

Here’s a little secret; more times than not, it probably isn’t. And energizing love is waaayyyyy more useful than fear; always and in all ways.

Do you believe in yourself? In your ability to accomplish your goals, your dreams? Start there, my friends. If you don’t – call me!

Also, if you’re someone who got stuck on the word motivation, or knows someone who is, there’s a fascinating study uncovered by author Daniel Pink that focuses on what really drives us (see link below). His new book, The Surprising Truth About What Motivates Us is on my 2022 list, what’s on yours?!

Here for you in 2022 and beyond…
